I chose to set up Zander Associates after 14 years of working for some of the best known firms within the executive search industry. During this time I have listened to the views of line managers and internal recruiters, gaining an insight into what they like and dislike about their recruitment partners. With this in mind I have set out to establish a business that puts the client and their requirement first. I operate as a consultant and then a project manager, aiming to be considered a trusted advisor. I ask to be measured on the value I deliver before, during and after a process as well as the actual outcome itself.

I began my search career with Mercer Gray, serving the CIO function in the recruitment of specialist internal technology professionals. I then joined the PSD group where I focused specifically on the systems integration market and consulting functions within vendor environments. Here I became particularly interested in the profile emerging as the gap between IT and business narrowed and the technology and advisory industry converged. I continued to operate in this area as a Managing Consultant within a business unit of Korn/Ferry International. Here I led the middle management capability for the professional service industry, recruiting into both internal and external consulting teams. Most recently I was a Principal within CTPartners, where I split my time equally between the business advisory space and the CIO function.
